Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire) was formally launched in December 1989. Sunrise Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 103.2 FM, DAB Bradford, Huddersfield and Keighley and of course online via its website.It has built a considerable reputation for impartial and responsible broadcasting since it became the first ever FM Asian station in the UK and the first ever Asian commercial station in the North of England. The unique mix of music, information and news has already won the station a large and loyal following, which is rapidly increasing. Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire) is also the first station to offer international programming in association with Rose FM 90. Sunrise Radio currently broadcasts an hour a day (Mon-Fri) to Rose FM coverage area which includes Jhelum, Mirpur and surrounding areas. The Sunrise Radio studios are based in Bradford City Centre and our mix of programming aims to take into account the areas diverse population, something that no other radio station in the region has previously attempted Sunrise Radio (Yorkshire) was named Ethnic Media of the Year in both 2001, 2002 and was awarded the title of Media of the Year 2004. |
